NEWS: Important information about starting the retirement process: The process for potential retirees is outlined and explained in this new document available on the Retirees page. MTDC eligibility requirements for retirement health benefits : Please read about the changes that take effect in 2019 on the Retirees page. Important Meeting for those planning to retire with MTDC retirement health benefits on February 6 at 4 pm at the LFA Office.
Please note important change to the MTDC eligibility requirements for retirement health benefits Please read carefully the attached notice sent from Mason Tenders in December 2018. It is essential to note the change to the eligibility rules for retirement health benefits (Item #3). Upon further investigation, we were told that there will be a follow up letter from Mason Tenders to extend the window of eligibility through the end of March in order to file for retirement and thus be able to carry one’s health benefits into retirement, IF you have been a participant in the plan for the last seven (7) or ten (10) consecutive working years AND are age fifty-five (55) or older. This means that if you have plans to retire AND wish to continue your Mason Tenders health benefits into retirement, you must file all paperwork by March 31st, 2019. Call LIUNA for a retirement packet IMMEDIATELY (1-800-544-7422). You must attend an information session to assist you in completing the necessary retirement paperwork, which will be on Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at 4pm at the LFA Office. Please read the letter from Ciro Quattrocchi with complete details and what you need to bring to the meeting. Archbishop Molloy Contract signing On November 19, 2018, LFA President / Business Manager  Ciro Quattrocchi and Archbishop Molloy High School President Richard Karsten signed a three year contract.  The LFA members ratified the contract on October 16, 2018 with a vote of 66 yes,  5 no, &  1 abstention.  The bargaining team did a great job securing  benefits and a salary increase for all three years of the new contract and  updating the Collective Bargaining Agreement as a whole. LFA all the way!
