- People who want a thicker mattress – Both the DreamCloud Premier and Evolution have higher profiles, but the Evolution is slightly taller at 15 inches high. This could be great for someone who has a lower bed frame and wants a thicker mattress to make it easier to get in and out of bed.

Firmness
We use a firmness rating system for mattresses that places items on a scale of 1-10, in which 1 is the softest feel and 10 is the firmest. The DreamCloud Premier comes in at a 5.5, which could feel like a true medium or a medium-firm depending on how the sleeper experiences this comfort level.
The Nolah Evolution has three available firmness levels. We rated their Plush model a 5, the Luxury Firm a 6.5, and the Firm an 8.
Support
Although the DreamCloud should provide good support to back and side sleepers, it’s not a good fit for most stomach sleepers since they typically need firmer support to keep their hips lifted.
The Nolah Evolution has two versions that are firmer than the DreamCloud for more solid support. In fact, this bed’s Luxury Firm rates better for stomach sleeping, and the Firm version could be even better for stomach sleepers.
Feel
The DreamCloud Premier is noticeably plush, and the cover feels durable. You should notice the bed’s Euro top, which includes memory foam in it, hug your shape and provide an ‘in-the-bed’ type of feel.
The foam layers in the Nolah Evolution will provide more gentle contouring, and you should notice the transition foam layer creating a more seamless ease into the innerspring unit. The Luxury Firm and Firm models are going to feel more sturdy and less contouring than the Plush version though.
Comparing Sinkage and Bounce
With the DreamCloud Premier, you should experience more of an ‘in the bed’ feel because of the memory foam in the Euro top that’s going to give you a nice cradle. You should also experience some cradling from the Nolah Evolution, but the amount of sinkage will also depend on the firmness you select. For example, you’ll sink more in the Nolah Evolution Plush than you would the Luxury Firm or Firm.
When it comes to bounce, the DreamCloud Premier won’t have much of it, whereas the Nolah Evolution rates better for bounce.
Comparing Motion Transfer
A bed with little to no motion transfer is ideal if you sleep with a restless partner or someone who has a different sleep schedule. This is because you are less likely to feel anything when they move about.
This feature is often more valuable to couples, though it can also be important for those who maybe have their pet or kids sleep beside them occasionally.
Both the Nolah Evolution and DreamCloud Premier rate well here. However, if you have to pick between the two, the Premier might edge out the Evolution simply because this bed has less bounce.

The DreamCloud’s cooling feature is its innerspring unit. Even though the primary purpose of the coils is to support the sleeper’s weight, they also allow more air to pass through the mattress.

DreamCloud Premier Construction
The DreamCloud Premier’s is a cashmere blend fabric that is quilted to two layers of foam, making up the bed’s Euro top. This bed features five layers and is 14 inches tall.
- The Euro Top Cradle Layer is a 1-inch thick layer of memory foam that lies right under the cashmere blend cover, providing immediate cradling to the sleeper.
- The Euro Top Support Layer is a soft foam that is 1 inch thick and provides additional softness to the Euro top.
- The Dynamic Transition Layer is a 2.5-inch thick foam that’s designed to provide added support while easing you into the innerspring unit.
- The coil unit stands 8.5 inches high, and the coils are individually-wrapped to help with motion control. Additionally, this unit has reinforced coils along the perimeter for good edge support.
